Anchored on Hobart’s scenic waterfront, Harbour Lights Café draws locals, food aficionados and wanderers with equal ease. Friendly by nature and perfectly placed for a pre-show bite, it blends the charm of a welcoming harbourside kitchen with the bustle of a well-loved city haunt.

As evening falls, the space transforms into a vibrant dining spot where conversation hums easily, and tables are rarely short of good company. Stepping inside, the kitchen leans confidently into Italian cuisine, filling the air with the rich aroma of simmering sauces and baking dough.

To begin, the meal might open with a briny Bruny Island oyster brightened by lemon, or polpette al sugo in a rich tomato sauce with Parmesan. Then come generous plates of ragu alla bolognese and spaghetti alle vongole - the kind of comforting classics that reward unhurried appetites.

Pizza remains a major point of pride, ranging from the herb-flecked grandma pizza with tomato, mozzarella and basil pesto, to pepperoni-laden slices that always hit the spot. Simple sides keep choices easy, while families find plenty to please younger diners under the kid's menu.

Whether it’s a breezy twilight meal or a warm waterside supper, Harbour Lights Café offers a welcome worth lingering over. Drop in, settle down and follow the harbour lights to your next delicious evening moment!
