The Wine Library – Woollahra’s Original Wine Bar

Perched atop Oxford Street in the heart of Woollahra, The Wine Library is a cosy yet stylish neighbourhood favourite — and a go-to Sydney hotspot for date night. Step inside and you’ll find a moody, red-backlit bar with playful energy up front, a warm exposed-brick dining room tucked away at the back, and a leafy courtyard perfect for al fresco dining (dogs very welcome!).

Their award-winning wine list features 900+ bottles, including more than 65 by the glass — spanning iconic producers, rare aged treasures, and a strong focus on natural, organic, and biodynamic gems from around the world. You don’t need to be a wine expert to explore the list — the team is warm, welcoming, and happy to help you find the perfect bottle for every mood and budget.

The food? Seasonal, tapas-style plates made for sharing. Head Chef Matheus Costa brings a modern spin to wine bar classics, with every dish crafted to complement what’s in your glass. The tuna crudo is a must-try.

Whether you’re a casual sipper or a seasoned collector, you’re in good hands — owner and Head Sommelier Tim Perlstone is often on the floor, offering tailored recommendations, pouring wines, and sharing stories behind the bottles.
