Lyra Greek Restaurant brings a thoughtful slice of Greece to Maroochydore on the Sunshine Coast. Taking its name and spirit from λύρα, it draws on traditional and contemporary cuisine, history, and dining culture, with a menu that champions craft and seasonality. The kitchen leans into bright, sun-led flavours and unfussy technique, letting carefully chosen local produce do the talking.

Meals here begin in convivial fashion: creamy tzatziki and briny taramasalata set the tone, while oysters with a classic mignonette and kingfish crudo lifted by citrus, radish, coriander and olive oil speak to a modern, coastal sensibility. Mezze encourages sharing and conversation, from golden halloumi sticks to tender grilled octopus punctuated with fried caper, cucumber, shallot and tomato.

Hearty mains carry the rhythm forward. Slow-cooked lamb shoulder meets cool tzatziki and skordalia, and wagyu beef is paired with silky sweet potato purée and lemon-bright potatoes. Freshness threads through the table with roka salata dressed in ladolemono and balsamic glaze, and a playful watermelon salad touched with rose water and mint.

The result is a dining experience that feels both timeless and current, designed for lingering, sharing and savouring. Make a date, bring good company, and let Lyra strike just the right note—one delicious plate at a time.
