A culinary star in Banktown Sports Club, Canton Kitchen is here to share their contemporary interpretation of Cantonese sharing plates. Hint: it's delicious!

But before we get to Canton, let's address the magnificent venue they call home; Bankstown Sports Club. Home to some of the best dining and entertainment destinations in Sydney, Banktown has something for everyone and has even welcomed celebrity chefs into the fold. As for Canton Kitchen, it's a vision of Cantonese elegance with its wooden interior, soft lighting and mesmerising wall art that sets you right at the shores of China's biggest cities. Twinkling with multicoloured paper lanterns too, you are cordially invited to this Cantonese fairytale.

Everything is designed to share, so go ahead and get the culinary adventure off to a strong start with some tasty entrees. Such tasty nibbles include prawn, scallop and crab toast, seafood spring rolls and crispy eggplant in a spicy Sichuan dressing. They're even going as far as Japan for some prawn katsu bao buns that encase one of Japan's most celebrated flavours in a soft, pillowy cloud.

For mains, you can see what Asian BBQ has to offer. The BBQ platter is an absolute beast with Vietnamese herb sausages, sticky pork ribs and roast duck, whilst those who want a little room left over might prefer some duck pancakes. Other mains to share include the classic sweet and sour pork, wagyu beef rendang, crispy soft shell crab and tamarind coconut curry served with an Asian vegetable mix. And if you thought the treats stopped there, you obviously haven't seen the fried ice cream for dessert; like China's coveted sweet and sour dishes, this dessert blows hot and cold.
