Authentic Thai recipes are all in the family at Monkey King Thai Willoughby.

A good restaurant isn’t just about the food on the plate. The very best dining experiences transport you to another place with a mix of quality ingredients, authentic recipes and a whole heap of love, and that’s what you’ll find at Monkey King.

Warm wooden panelling with oriental lights set the mood, but it’s the scent of the food that will truly entice you as you’re seated. An array of spices, herbs and fresh produce results in a perfume that will truly set your mouth watering, and that’s before you’ve even tasted your meal. The menu here is about as authentic as Thai food gets. Monkey King was started by the owner's aunt when she migrated to Australia and saw a gap for quality Thai food produced with love.

These dishes are created with that courageous spirit in mind. Entrées include favourites such as the duck pancakes and the satay chicken skewers, with mains offerings encompassing a variety of traditional Thai soups, salads, stir-fries, curries and noodles.

If you can't decide, the signature dishes are an easy choice and include roast duck simmered in massaman curry, with potatoes and topped with cashew nuts, or the spicy crispy pork with green beans, chilli and kaffir lime leaves in a homemade chilli paste sauce. The chef's recommendation simply can't be beaten!

And, as Monkey King Thai Willoughby is a fully licensed venue, you can wash all this deliciousness down with a wine or the signature Monkey King Pale Ale, which you cannot find anywhere else.
