dinner

A warm and loving eatery that heralds wine, beer and food sourced locally and from beloved France, Chouchou is an elegant bistro in Bondi with that certain... je ne sais quoi..

Chouchou actually means 'pet' in English, which is suitable considering that they welcome all diners like family. It has to be one of the most romantic restaurants around thanks to its penchant for interior decor. Traditional bistro furniture cosies up to ethereal, floaty drapes, and cosy sofas sit underneath showstopping flower bowers that create a lush ceiling that's full of colour and life. Boasting that effortless French sophistication, Chouchou is your next destination for date night.

And who else can think of an evening better than one filled with French cheeses, wine and regional favourites? Sample some of the most celebrated French staples with the weekly quiche that changes according to the local ingredients available, beef tartare with pomme frites and dijon mustard, and a magnificant croque madame drizzled with creamy bechamel and served with a green salad. You could even try your own hand at the French cuisine with a DIY raclette! Have fun with creamy raclette cheese, veggies potatoes and cured meats for a supper you won't forget.

Finally, no French meal is complete without a stunning glass o' rouge. With wines sourced straight from the most renowned French vineyards, as well as local ones here in Bondi, be sure to savour the moment. Otherwise, voila, the moment's over! However, it won't be long until another moment of sheer deadence and bliss arrives.
