Wonderful food and ambience under the stars and bud lights

It was pouring with rain, but we were seated inside & had a beautiful meal. Again we had their fabulous steaks...with very attentive service. Was good!

It was a lovely Sunday evening dining experience at Fomo. We shared a number of different Tapas dishes between 3 for the entree and all were really tasty - we especially enjoyed the seared tuna and the spiced cauliflower. The steak and barramundi for mains were equally as good , with great flavour combinations. To top it off we shared a delicious dessert of orange ricotta filled brandy snaps.

There was a good selection of drinks on offer, attentive service and a lovely atmosphere to make for an enjoyable dinner. We agreed we'll be back again soon and will recommend to friends.

Such a great little place! Concise food menu, but the two entres and two mains we tried were perfect. My fresh line-caught barramundi with charred greens was delicious, and my husband was really excited by his steak with mushrooms. Drinks and dessert were also excellent. Lovely ambience outside under the trees. We'll return next time we're holidaying in the area.

What a cosy little outdoor cafe. It looked very pretty when the sun went down and the fairy lights could be seen in the trees.
I had the seared tuna, which was very nice with the pesto and delicious charred asparagus. I loved the passionfruit pannacotta; tasty, smooth and creamy.

From our intimate, candle lit table we saw the fairy lights in the surrounding Noosa Trees. An Ambient Atmosphere with music and a chilled vibe: people's conversations and laughter were present and added to the experience. The food was decent with our experience consisting of First course Halloumii and pesto..yummy hint of mint in the pesto.., and mains of Steak with yummy mushroom sauce (The mustard/horsradish was hiding under the parmesan..I would have liked more of a warning with such a strong taste lurking below, however overall was really happy with the meal and ate it all up. My wife had a delightful tender piece of snapper, she said it was melt in the mouth. The service was good, our glass was always filled with water, the staff were attentive and prompt. Meals arrived in good time. We were happy with our meal and our drinks (Stone and wood Pacific ale, and Sav blanc) were just right. Overall a good experience at FOMO. Thanks for your service and food.

Booking process through First Table is really easy and makes it very clear if the restaurant imposes any restrictions on what you can or can't order as a First Table customer. As a result, we were aware that certain specials couldn't be ordered and we appreciated knowing in advance. Table was ready when we arrived and the staff were welcoming. Our wait person explained to us again the slight restriction being First Table guests. Menu was amazing, making it really hard to choose. Settled on the pork belly taco starter, rib eye steak, swordfish and chocolate fondant. Couldn't fault any of it! All cooked perfectly, really well presented and quite decent portion sizes. Steak came with a delicious sauce, we could have licked the plate. The swordfish came with a nut crumb which provided great texture. All of it was so tasty and we'd definitely go back to try more of the menu. The setting was really nice too with outdoor seating under fairly lights.

Great food & service. Mushrooms, halloumi, duck & cauli all favs + THE BEST Choc fondant! Thx will be bak.

We went to FOMO not knowing what dinner would be like because we were under the impression that is was more of a coffee/cafe type place. But it was so lovely! I had the market fish which was Sword fish and it was superb. My husband had the steak which was one of the best steaks he has ever had. Small menu done extremely well! Highly recommend

Exciting menu choices different to the usual offerings at cafes. We particularly liked the Mushroom on Toast entree and Roast Cauliflower main dish. I am not vegetarian but like to limit my meat intake so Fomo’s menu makes this very easy. We also had the Seared Tuna entree and the Fish of the Day. All dishes were beautifully presented with a great mixture of flavours and textures.
Great to have such a good cafe in my local area.

We had a mega awesome experience at FOMO, a small, humble and really great eating spot hidden away in Sunshine beach. The staff were really friendly, the food was tasty, well seasoned and fantastic to eat. The service was prompt, and my wife and I just loved the whole experience. Our mains of fish and steak were perfectly cooked. The tomato, olive and goats cheese entre was to die for. As was the halloumi and pesto..yummo...Thanks so much FOMO. Keep up the awesome food and awesome, friendly service.

This is a great place to eat. The food is superb. It's clear the chef takes pride in it as the quality and presentation is top-notch. Really nice laid-back setting with a holiday feel. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. The staff are young and it is a local cafe/bar so even with the high quality food the vibe is casual which to me is a positive, not a negative. We will definitely be back.

We had a delightful evening experience here at Fomo with a relaxed atmosphere and nice alfresco seating area.We talked to the chef directly about food of the area and were excited to try some of his taste combos. We started with an interesting baked cauliflower hummus with dukah, with toasted flat bread. Yum.
Went onto some shared plates .The slow roasted beef rib with jalapeño salsa was a perfect balance of spice and seasoning.
I enjoyed the green salad with walnuts and a piquant raspberry dressing while my friend had a nicely cooked steak.Highly recommended.

I was excited to try Fomo after reading the great reviews, however I'm not sure I would recommend it. Most of the food was incredibly salty and peppery.. I love both but we were both flushed with mouths burning on a cold evening! The fish was also dry and overcooked. The atmosphere was lovely, with lights strung up on the trees, but we won't be returning.

- dined at Fomo on

The food was amazing as always, however we will not be going back. This is a lovely small restaurant but it was full of large dogs and several were off lead, the owners of the dogs and staff ignored this and this made the evening quite unenjoyable as we had to shoo dogs away from our table throughout our meal.

This was our second visit to 'Fomo' courtesy of First Table, & it was equally as good. There was maybe a bit of a wait for our steaks, but I feel this was probably because care was being taken in their preparation - they were excellent. Our Crème Bruleè dessert was delicious too! All in all, a great meal out.

Well, my husband & I had a great time at FOMO ( whether it does stand for 'Fear of Missing Out' as we've been reliably informed..we're not sure...??) last night. A bit less frenetic there than round the corner at Sunshine Beach, Noosa. We both opted for the Scotch Fillet Steaks, cooked slightly differently, & they were really good...tender & juicy, with roasted cubed potatoes & wilted spinach on a bed of creamy horseradish sauce...lovely. Afterwards we shared a sizeable chocolate-mousse with raspberry sorbet....delicious! The service was good also. A lovely evening. We'll definitely go again sometime.... Thanks 'FirstTable' & 'FOMO'..!

I would say it's a great place to go for an early dinner after a sunny day at Sunshine beach, as FOMO is handy to walk to after catching some rays. Don't get fomo, and go to FOMO (just saying!)

My wife and daughter and I enjoyed our early evening dining at Fomo very much. It has a good position on a quiet street corner out of the prevailing southeasterly breeze that was belting all the other cafes on Duke Street, and we were able to sit in a pleasant outdoor garden area in comfort. The service was very attentive at all times and the food was excellent. My rib eye fillet was cooked to as perfect medium and the ladies' fresh fish and vegetarian meals were rated by them as in the top two meals for this year. We even stayed for desert and enjoyed a well-matched chocolate brownie and raspberry sorbet.

The allure of a creamy smoked salmon pasta (as per the sample menu) meant FOMO was the no-brainer dinner option for me, my mum and my visiting friend. But, when reading aloud the menu, I soon realised it seemed "wintery" and, as such, possibly dated. A quick look on the website proved this was the case. No matter, though, as the mouthwatering idea of a big bowl of mussels soon took centre stage in my mind. When I called to make a change to our booking, I asked about the mussels and were told they were not included in our discount despite that not being stated in the "special conditions". Oh well, for $20 full price I still planned to order them.

When we arrived, however, the mussels were nowhere to be seen. Neither were the other items from the menu off of their website. A different list of food was put in front of us instead. Bizarre. When our waitress returned to take our drink order, we politely asked to see a beverage list first, to which she explained they didn't have one. Also bizarre. With the sound of a cocktail shaker filling the air and a number of Aperol Spritzes adorning the neighbouring table, my mum asked what her cocktail options were. The waitress told her they didn't offer them. Wine it was, then. The waitress offered either a pinot noir or sauvignon blanc. "How about a sparkling?" "We could do a Prosecco." "Perfect!" As for non-alcoholic options, the waitress hurriedly mentioned something about "Noah's" so I opted for tap water instead, which was particularly warm.

Luckily, the night improved with the food - none of which could be faulted. Between us, we ordered the mushroom bruschetta and smoked salmon crostini for entree and two portions of the salmon and a steak for main. The salmon, in particular, shone - the flavours of the pistachio and fennel crust were absolutely delectable.

Interestingly enough, another peek on the website when we got home revealed the updated menu AND a wine list - which only served to raise more questions about the confusing experience.

Overall, I feel like this restaurant is best suited for locals, as that was certainly the vibe we got from the service. Would we eat here again? With the range of amazing eateries on the Coast, possibly not, but that shouldn't deter others as our experience seemed unique to us.
