Step into a world of Italian fine dining in the beautiful setting of Noosa Heads...

Just steps away from the surf, this intimate spot has all the style of Rome with grey paintwork, velvet detailing and mid-century inspired light fittings, and the friendly yet unobtrusive service is equally polished.

The evening menu features beautiful Italian food made from local and imported Italian produce. Start with a selection of antipasti including kingfish carpaccio before moving on to a satisfying pasta dish such as the taglierini granchio – a decadent combination of local spanner crab and mud crab claw, flamed with brandy and cooked in a creamy baby tomato sauce.

In true Italian style, the secondi selection focuses on beautifully cooked meat and fresh seafood, while pizza bases are all made to order in-house and can be gluten free if desired.

Feeling thirsty? The cocktail menu includes all your favourites, as well as some more daring options such as limoncello margaritas. Naturally, the wine cellar is superb. Add a little sparkle to your evening with an Italian prosecco or keep it local with the finest pours from the Barossa and Yarra Valleys.

We all enjoyed a friendly, delicious and memorable dinner. We especially loved the intimate ansd quiet atmosphere, the personal and professional service and the beautiful presentation of the food :)

We enjoyed the most authentic, mouth watering Italian food I have ever eaten outside of Italy or San Francisco. All of the staff took great pride in their work and many of them are also authentically Italian. The service and presentation of the food were excellent ! I also loved the smaller, more intimate setting. I will definitely be back and doubt I will ever eat at another Italian restaurant on the Sunshine Coast than this one . Bellissimo!

Dinner at Piccolino was everything you’d expect from great Italian food. First we had a couple of cocktails, margaritas, although I’m not a fan of bitter spirits the lemoncello margarita was on point, thanks to the bartender for recommending this truly delicious and refreshing drink! As for food, you can’t go past a classic margarita pizza! The base was so fresh, crispy, thin with a delicious crust - topped with cheese and basil it was heavenly. For mains my husband had the eye fillet, it was cooked to perfection. I had the saltimbocca, its presentation definitely got my stomach juices going, and the taste was as good as it looked. Topped with great service Piccolino, we will definitely be back again.

The best Italian food we’ve had in a long while. The gnocchi with duck ragu was the standout dish - melt in your mouth, pillowy soft goodness! The arancini & pizza were delicious also, and very authentic. Will definitely dine there again soon! Excellent service.

My husband had the Duck Gnocchi which was absolutely amazing. The waiter we had was excellent...totally aware of what was happening in the restaurant. He picked up I wasn't happy with my meal and had it remade quickly for me & it came back perfect. We ended with the delicious Tiramisu. We will definitely return try some of the pizzas.

Piccolino - (‘Little One’) an aptly named, cozy little restaurant. Big surprise was the engaging and impeccable service from the two boys and the lass behind the bar. We went with our teenage grandson and shared some delicious, authentic Italian cuisine. The Salsiccia (pork mince, fennel), was a combination we hadn’t tried before, but will certainly be ordering again. The gnocchi D’anagra was ‘melt in the mouth’ and some of the best we had tasted. The black squid ink spaghetti was a taste sensation (just needed a tiny bit more sauce to wet the seafood). So delicious were the mains, we decided to indulge in desserts and were not disappointed. House-made panna cotta, chocolate torte and tiramisu were all divine and pleasingly plated.
The Sicilian red wine was luscious.
We will be highly recommending to friends and family to indulge and enjoy at such a delightful place to dine.

Both the service and the food were outstanding! I also want to make comment about the portions for each meal as this also exceeded our expectations. Can’t recommend this place enough!!!

Stylishly compact indoor setting though there is also an outdoor area above the main restaurant which I didn't see. The food and service on a busy Boxing Day was perfect. The pasta dishes were delicious and after a shared antipasto platter for starters I didn't have any room for dessert. So I'll definitely be returning!

Lovely restaurant. Excellent food and service. And a great wine selection.

Friendly service, upbeat music, and great food. Go early if you're after an intimate quiet space.... it's a long narrow room so for later bookings when it's fully booked it probably gets pretty buzzed and noisy, in a good way :) Would definitely go again.

We had dinner at Piccolino’s last night and everything about the experience was sensational. The stuffed zucchini flowers were amazing, packed with flavour and so light and fresh. The sides of broccolini & caprese salad were delicious, especially the beautiful buffalo mozzarella; yum! The gnocchi with duck ragu was packed with one of the best we’ve ever eaten. Such a beautiful meal with such attentive staff in a gorgeous setting. Thank you Piccolino; we’ll be back.

We enjoyed Piccolino so much last week, that we dined there again last night. I chose 3 yummy dishes, making it my favourite meal in Noosa. I preferred my zucchini flowers last night. Serving the 3 large flowers on a plate, rather than in a deep dish, made them much easier to eat. My calamari was the best seafood I’ve had here. I chose the passionfruit pannacotta for dessert. Yummy and just the right size. Thank-you First Table and Piccolino.

Will be back again for another amazing experience.

First time doing First Table and what a great choice Piccolino was. We started with some well made cocktails and shared beautifully cooked calamari. For mains I had a delicious rack of lamb with perfectly cooked vegetables. My partner had the gnocchi which was also delicious. The staff were very attentive and the restaurant had a relaxed atmosphere. We will be certainly going back with or without 50%of the bill!

- dined at Piccolino on

We had dinner there last night and between us we shared three entrees and 2 mains. We had the zucchini fritters, Moreton bay bug and calamari fritti for entree and gnocchi with duck ragu and tortellini with four cheese (special of the day) for main. The food were all amazing. The calamari were cook to perfection lightly battered and melts in your mouth. The highlight of the evening was the gnocchi ragu. The ragu was rich and flavoursome and the gnocchi was soft (some may prefer the gnocchi cooked) but didn’t bother us. We would love to try the desserts as well but ran out of time.

Can I go back every afternoon??
I set my alarm for midnight to make this booking and I’m so glad I did because the food was absolutely phenomenal!
Our table of three shared two pizzas (mushroom/walnuts/bacon/blue cheese & salami/goats cheese) and two pastas (an incredible tortellini special & their duck gnocchi - so much duck!). All serving sizes were spot on and the flavours absolutely incredible.
I’m telling all my friends and I’ll be back soon!

There is a new Italian restaurant in town to stand up and take notice of. There is certainly a death by pizza going on in Hasting street but Piccolino’s offers just that little bit more. Friendly service, good selection of Italian wines and an affogato to die for. Well worth trying the new kid on the block you won’t be disappointed.

- dined at Piccolino on

The best aranchini balls we have ever had! We had the antipasto plate (selection by the chef) and shared the mushroom pizza and the trout fish special. It was all delicious! Loui our waiter was awesome, just himself and made sure we were always sorted.

Our friend's & our dining experience last night at 'Piccolino's' restaurant in Hastings St, Noosa, was wonderful! The meal was lovely, especially the 'stuffed zuccini flowers' for starters, & my main-dish the 'spago frutti-mare' (seafood) with squid-ink spaghettini - was to die for! A good wine-list too, so happy diners!
Alessandro & Luc made us feel very welcome...an overall good experience!

Lovely dining experience, truly exceptional service with lots of attention paid to our baby. Food was great, best pizza we have had in a long time. Little miss with the dessert - honey was served instead of honeycomb - but this was really very minor in what is now our new favourite restaurant on the coast.

- dined at Piccolino on

Possibly the best food we have ever had in Noosa. The food was fresh, tasty and well presented. The staff were friendly and made the overall experience very pleasant. I would highly recommend this restaurant and we will definitely be going back to try more of their delicious food.

A great little gem tucked away on Hastings St. The crab pasta was messy but well worth the effort, the garlic pizza a new favourite . The kids said the home made chicken nuggets (strips) were the best they’d ever eaten followed closely by my daughters meatball pasta. Good service, a must if visiting Noosa.

Delicious and very authentic Italian food!!
The service was very good and friendly, we really enjoyed our dinner. Four of us ate there and had a pizza, Tagliatelle, Trout, and Gnocchi. The only criticism was that perhaps the Tagliatelle had a bit too much truffle oil so was a bit greasy. The Tiramisu’s were just perfect for pudding, but the Nutella calzone was far too big - should be advertised as a sharing dish for 3 people! Very tasty though. Thanks for a good evening.
