Tucked in the heart of Melbourne CBD, The Moat offers an intimate escape with a distinctly European sensibility. The kitchen champions handmade cooking, seasonal local produce and a devotion to simplicity that lets flavours sing. It's a place where the welcome's warm, the details are thoughtful and the pace invites conversation.

The table might begin with house made focaccia dipped in olive oil and balsamic, or silky ribbons of Prosciutto di Parma with parmesan. From there, comfort's rendered elegant, with handmade pasta taking centre stage - guests can enjoy agnolotti of ricotta and asparagus with pea shoots, or orecchiette fagioli with cannellini bean and fennel. For the table, rosemary-scented twice-cooked chats and a Victorian leaf salad bring brightness and crunch.

To finish, a pistachio tiramisu or a Callebaut chocolate mousse hit notes of indulgence. A thoughtful cheese board, featuring Woombye Ashed brie and Mauri Formaggi Dolce Gorgonzola, provides a perfect end to the meal.

Gather your favourites, settle in and let the evening twirl by at The Moat - one forkful at a time!
