Spotty Dog Brewers, a family-owned gem in Hobart, is making waves in Tasmania’s craft beer scene. Known for its small-batch, independent brews, the brewery’s Taphouse offers a laid-back yet lively setting to explore a rotating selection of bold, hop-forward beers. Whether it’s a catch-up with friends or a casual family outing, Spotty Dog delivers the perfect pour for every guest.

Now adding even more flavour to the experience is Chicken Shop, serving what many are calling Tassie’s best fried chicken. With a focus on fresh, locally sourced produce, the kitchen turns out a seasonal menu packed with fun, approachable dishes that match the creativity of the beers on tap. From crispy, golden fried chicken to grilled options and Korean-style wings with gochujang glaze, the flavours are big and the portions generous. Guests can also dig into juicy chicken burgers or tuck into plant-based favourites like buffalo cauliflower, making this a menu that caters to all cravings.

Set just outside the city with plenty of parking and a welcoming, community-driven vibe, Spotty Dog Brewers is the go-to destination for those seeking top-tier Tasmanian beer and comfort food with a twist. With standout brews, standout chicken, and a warm atmosphere, it’s the perfect place to settle in and stay a while.
