dinner

BAJA brings a slice of Southern California to Fortitude Valley, where a relaxed, sun-bleached spirit meets Brisbane energy. The menu offers modern Mexican with a breezy, coastal sensibility.

The kitchen gives tradition a playful nudge. Botanas set the tone, such as JZ's Guac, brightened with native herbs, and the Urban Valley Tostadita, which combines earthy mushrooms and silky confit beef under chipotle crema. Flavours are layered rather than loud to bring a coastal glow to the plate.

Tacos are the main event. A mushroom option features mushroom schnitzel, pickles, chilli crema, and cress for a perfect crunch. For meat lovers, carnitas arrive tender and glistening, while the al pastor brings the spices and slow-cooked goodness.

Book a spot, settle in with a mezcal margarita, and enjoy the SoCal breeze in the Valley. It is always a good time for tacos.
