dinner

Perched in a handsome terrace on Blues Point Road, Le Rooftop brings a breezy sense of occasion to McMahons Point. With a sun-washed rooftop and far-reaching views, it is the kind of place that draws friends together over cocktails and conversation, then keeps them lingering with imaginative Asian fusion cooking.

The kitchen brings together Asian influences through produce-led dishes. Sydney rock oysters with tangerine mignonette set the tone, while prawn toast with yuzu mayonnaise and tobiko adds a familiar touch. Even the bread roll is served with truffle butter, and corn ribs come dusted in umami.

Mains include crispy-skinned black cod with miso cauliflower purée and yuzu butter sauce, and wagyu steak with garlic butter rice, Japanese beef jus teriyaki sauce and wasabi oil. Sides are made to share, from pork jus truffle mash with tonkotsu and brown butter to grilled broccolini with yuzu kosho oyster sauce and parmesan. To finish, a slice of Japanese pumpkin cheesecake or mochi brings a sweet close.

Join the locals at the top, settle in with a drink, and let the evening rise to the occasion. Book a spot and take flavour to new heights.
