The menu opens with Italian staples done properly, from Ortiz anchovies brightened with lemon on toasted baguette to handmade Vanella burrata, best torn and shared alongside warm woodfire breadsticks. Comfort finds its stride in the veal cotoletta Milanese, pan-fried with sage and lemon and served with roast potatoes and a rocket and Parmesan salad, while Zuppa di Cozze brings mussels swimming in Napoletana sauce, wine, basil and garlic, with house-made focaccia for good measure.

Pizzas carry the soul of Naples: a margherita layered with San Marzano tomatoes and fior di latte; a napoletana laced with anchovies, olives, capers and oregano; and white-base flights like a lasagna homage with bechamel and slow-cooked beef ragu or a trio of mushrooms in creamy repose. Crisp sides of cos and pecorino or rocket, pear and Parmesan keep things sprightly, and little diners can build their own pizza or tuck into a mini schnitzel.
