lunch

Set against the Richmond River in Ballina, Mumbai Masala Indian Restaurant brings progressive Indian cuisine to Northern NSW. Bright and inviting, it's the perfect spot for a relaxed midday meal savouring Australian seasonal ingredients fused with time-honoured spice craft.

In the kitchen, seafood and classic techniques meet in plates that balance comfort and surprise. Think an Andaman fish curry lush with coconut cream, or a prawn Malabar sparked by mustard seeds and fenugreek.

Fragrant biryani ranges from vegetable-led to chicken, goat or prawn, while small plates like pani puri and a golden samosa set a lively tone. Tandoori breads arrive blistered and moreish, and dessert might just be gulab jamun or a playful chocolate samosa.

To complement the meal, a thoughtful beverage selection offers refreshing choices designed to match the bold spice profiles.

With its river backdrop and easy warmth, it suits lunch breaks, casual gatherings and family catch-ups alike - little diners are looked after with butter chicken and rice. Book in, bring your appetite, and let the spices do the talking!
