dinner

In Burleigh Waters on the Gold Coast, Indian Hut brings the warmth of classic Indian cookery to the neighbourhood. It is a nod to layered spices and slow-simmered sauces, offering the kind of comfort that never goes out of style. Serving the local community since 2004.

Start with the essentials: chicken tikka, grilled and fragrant with traditional herbs and spices, or a crisp, golden samosa packed with potato and peas. From there, butter chicken arrives in a silky tomato-cream sauce, while lamb jalfrezi pairs tender meat with vibrant vegetables. Those seeking a little more fire will find it in chicken vindaloo, marked by a confident, medium-to-hot heat, and lamb nawabi leans towards richness with a flavourful sauce. Vegan diners are thoughtfully included, with vegan samosa and vegetable pakora delivering that moreish crunch without animal products.

The experience centres on familiar flavours done with care and consistency - the kind of meal that invites a lingering conversation as plates are passed and favourites are discovered. Whether it is a comforting curry night or a quick bite before the evening unfolds, Indian Hut keeps things deliciously straightforward.

Book a table, follow your cravings from grill to gravy, and let the spices set the pace. Go on, make it a jalfrezi kind of evening!
