Crispy Italian Bar

A restaurant born out of love for the founders' native culture and cuisine, Crispy Italian Bar is bringing back the textures and sensory delights of Italian food to Burleigh Heads.

Their mission is to encapsulate all the excitement and happy chaos of traditional Italian bars right here on the Gold Coast. And there's no denying that Crispy can coax over pretty much any passer-by with their jolly, candy-striped exterior that is always a hive of activity well into the evening. Inside, they're enjoying the same level of fun with quirky wall paintings that indulge our childish side. The moment the pizza stand arrives however, all focus turns on that.

So, without further ado, let's address the pizzas themselves, all of which are woodfired to perfection and emerge looking wonderfully unsymmetrical and homemade. The toppings are varied and delicious, taking on traditional flavour pairings with the Bella Napoli, carbonara, prosciutto, Diavola and Vegetariana. They're also no strangers to a touch of innovation and have concocted a Burleigh pizza in honour of their location and esteemed guests.

That's the crispy part over and done with. How about the liquid part? It's hard to resist the summery temptation of an Aperol Spritz or Cosmopolitan in such a lively, social destination. And if you can squeeze in some Italian gelato too, all the better!
