The stunning, fully enclosed glass balcony brings the ocean right into the restaurant, while the clever open design means sea views can be enjoyed from almost every table — whether you choose to sit by the windows or further inside.

The menu celebrates fresh Australian produce, bright flavours and generous, beautifully considered food.

Start with freshly shucked oysters served natural, Kilpatrick or with raspberry kombucha dressing, snack on crispy school prawns, or settle in for the signature Swells Seafood Platter.

One dish has earned almost legendary status amongst Swells regulars: Crispy Pork Belly with house-made prawn dumplings and Szechuan chilli sauce. It has been on the menu since the restaurant opened and remains one of its most-loved dishes.

For something more substantial, expect thoughtful combinations such as grilled lamb cutlet with slow-roasted shoulder, braised cannellini beans, tomato and lemon and anchovy potatoes; or grass-fed beef fillet paired with slow-cooked short rib, creamy mash, honey parsnip, mushroom, salsa verde and red wine jus.

Add a bowl of fries with roasted garlic and chive aioli or a fresh baby cos salad with Nashi pear, pomegranate and cucumber and settle in for the afternoon.

Children are well looked after too, with a dedicated menu featuring favourites including grilled or tempura barramundi and crumbed chicken tenderloins.
