In St Lucia, Roti Chai brings the comforting cadence of Indian cooking to the neighbourhood. The name hints at simple pleasures - warm breads and spiced brews - and the kitchen delivers with soulful curries, coastal delicacies and fragrant rice dishes.

Vegetarians are well looked after, from the spinach-silked palak paneer to the slow-cooked depth of dal makhani. Each bowl leans into texture and tempering, creamy, nutty and savoury in turn, made for mopping and sharing.

From the coast, Goan fish curry and prawn Malabari offer coconut-rich comfort, while chicken and lamb biryani arrive crowned with aromatic steam.

Tear into naan, choose basmati rice or jeera rice, and keep the conversation crisp with poppodams, raita and mango chutney. Finish on a soft note with gulab jamun and a restorative masala chai.

Expect layered spices, gentle heat and the kind of balance that invites another spoonful. Settle in for a relaxed feast that travels by flavour and story. Book a table in St Lucia, bring your appetite, and let the curry do the talking!
