Montbleu

Their name might sound impeccably French, but this restaurant is surprising everyone with its Modern Australian, Japanese and Korean fusion menu.

Offering something entirely unique in the suburb of Illawong, Montbleu is where you'll find really fresh plates that are designed with love and an expert eye for a beautiful presentation. The restaurant is bright and balmy with particular attention given to earthy, natural tones. The open space gives way to an uncluttered setup that is illuminated by floor-to-ceiling windows and plenty of leafy greens. A wonderful spot for breakfast and lunch, you'll leave feeling pleasantly revitalised.

If you're joining them for breakfast, you can expect all the staples with a Montbleu twist. All you early birds are rewarded with the early bird wrap that encloses fried eggs, grilled bacon and has brown and lashings of BBQ sauce whilst the Montbleu big breakfast lives up to expectations with all the trimmings plus a delightful avocado salsa. And for those who want to post their breakfast on Instagram, the acai bowl alongside a So Green juice is giving 'my body is a temple' vibes.

If you're popping by later for a spot of lunch, you can still enjoy most of the breakfast menu which makes for an excellent brunch, as well as midday plates that are nutritious and delicious. The Korean cuisine shouts loud and proud with heaps of Korean fried chicken, the K-chicken burger and the Korean bulgogi bowl. As well as these, they have a fine selection of sushi rolls and sashimi, bento boxes and poke bowls with all kinds of Asian-inspired ingredients. Montbleu isn't one to disregard the importance of the midday meal!
