dinner

In southern Sydney, Monkey King Thai Gymea celebrates the bright equilibrium of Thai cooking - where heat, tang, and sweetness find harmony in every mouthful.

Fragrant herbs, the whisper of the wok, and the richness of coconut set the tone for a meal that balances comfort with a lively kick. It's the kind of menu that invites sharing, second helpings, and a little adventure.

The journey might begin with tamarind prawns or satay chicken before diving into classic soups: the spicy-sour lift of prawn tom yum or the soothing, coconut-creamy chicken tom kha. There's plenty for plant-forward plates too, including eggplant with green peppercorns and stir-fried peanut sauce with tofu.

From the grill, garlic and pepper lamb cutlets bring savoury depth, while BBQ wagyu beef delivers satisfying char. Curries span from green curry's herbal warmth to a slow-cooked, nutty massaman beef curry, and noodle devotees can twirl through traditional pad Thai or the comforting chew of pad se ew.

Make a date with Monkey King Thai Gymea and let the king of flavour hold court. Long live the spice!
