Monkey King Thai Caringbah brings the bright, balanced flavours of Thailand to The Shire in Southern Sydney. Family-run with more than a decade of know-how, it pairs time-honoured recipes with a lively, generous spirit.

The menu roams from crisp tamarind prawns and satay skewers to steaming bowls of prawn tom yum and chicken tom kha. From the grill, garlic and pepper lamb cutlets and BBQ wagyu deliver satisfying char, while vibrant salads of roast duck or crispy pork with papaya bring zing and crunch. Seafood lovers will find a showpiece in whole barramundi dressed in a five‑flavoured sauce, and the veggie corner keeps things equally enticing with eggplant with green peppercorns and tofu enriched with peanut sauce. Curries range from fragrant green to slow-cooked massaman beef; noodles twirl between pad thai and pad se ew; pineapple fried rice adds a sunny, sweet-savoury lift.

Expect an easy-going welcome and the hum of a busy kitchen, where basil, lime and chilli set the tempo. Classic cocktails and breezy mocktails keep pace with the spice, making it as fitting for a relaxed catch-up as it is for a hearty feast.

Gather your favourites, follow your appetite, and let Monkey King Thai lead the way. Book a table, tuck in, and make a royal night of it.
