dinner

In Sydney’s Inner West, Paddy Chans celebrates the lively union of Irish comfort and Chinese flavour. It is the kind of neighbourhood spot where spice bags are a calling card, rich curry and satay sauce are spoken of fondly, and the promise of great food, cold drinks and good craic sets the tone from the first hello.

The kitchen leans into crisp textures and bold seasoning, from crispy shredded chicken to salt and chilli shredded chicken that brings a tingle of heat. Curries come in familiar company—chicken, beef, pork or prawn—bathed in aromatic sauce, while satay sauce offers its rich, savoury pull across a choice of meats or a vegetable option. Simple sides, fried rice and chips, keep things honest and comforting, rounding out plates with the kind of satisfaction that lingers.

The mood is relaxed and convivial, made for catch-ups, shared bites and an easy rhythm that stretches into the evening. It is unfussy, flavour-first dining with a playful spirit, tipping a hat to two traditions while carving out a style all its own. Gather your mates, settle in and let the conversation flow. Drop by for a spice bag and a smile—the craic awaits.
