Babli’s Modern Indian brings a lively, street-wise take on Indian flavours to Enmore, distilling the bustle of the subcontinent through Sydney’s Inner West lens. It’s a modern riff on comfort classics, where spice, tang and texture meet with a wink.

The menu ranges from Bombay Bao, packed with spiced potato, tamarind glaze and mint chutney, to Gupta Ji Ke Samosa, a crunchy parcel filled with seasoned peas. Street-food fans will clock Dilli Wali Samosa Chaat and Kale Papdi Chaat, all crisp, saucy and joyously messy with yoghurt and chutneys.

Over in the curry camp, there’s plenty of comfort too - Chicken Tikka Masala in a creamy tomato hug and Butter Chicken with its makhani richness. Desi Tacos wrapped in Thepla bring a playful crossover starring chicken tikka or paneer, while warm naan and fragrant Zeera Rice stand by to mop up every last drop.

For something sweet, Gulab Jamun and Rasmalai keep things classic.

It’s the sort of spot that rewards an appetite for spice and a sense of fun. A flavour-packed detour to Enmore awaits - time to let the chaat do the chatting!
