If you already Went To See The Gypsy then you know that these guys make some of the best coffee and brunch plates in the whole of Alexandria. Guy Espresso's youngest sibling and the brainchild of Will Smallbone and Mario Szucs, has all the makings to be an absolute winner.
It's painfully stylish too. Guru Project has seen that this eatery is out to impress with an alternative mix of concrete, rustic rattan and warming timber that affords it a farmhouse vibe whilst also being a trendsetter in contemporary interior design. At the centre of it all is the standalone brew bar where anyone can pitch up for a midday munch, a nutritious brekkie or simply a caffeine injection. It's a coffee lover's paradise.
It's also hugely popular with keen brunchers and lunchers alike. For the early birds, they're taking classics and casting the Gypsy spell with their famous scrambled eggs, ricotta hotcakes with caramelised banana, crab omelettes with chilli and fennel and the magnificent Potts Plate with a spritely tomato salad, avocado, hummus and eggs. Food for the body and soul, Gypsy's colourful plates are every bit as good as they look.
The same goes for lunch where you'll find premium comfort food like parmesan crusted chicken schnitzel, hot smoked salmon salad and the Alexandria lunch bowl that's a bombastic mix of mixed grains, chickpeas, babaganoush, avocado and yoghurt. With so much to offer during the sunlit hours, it's time you took its name to heart and pay this gorgeous little eatery a visit!
