Baia The Italian offers a captivating dining atmosphere right on the edge of Sydney’s scenic Cockle Bay Wharf at Darling Harbour.

Its setting is perfect for soaking up the stunning harbourside views, making every dining experience memorable, whether for casual meals or special occasions, enhanced by professional service and inviting Italian charm.

Now, onto the good stuff… the food! Baia’s generous space means they can indulge both the classics crowd and the curious. At lunch, handmade ravioli filled with lamb comes bathed in a mushroom–taleggio sauce, while pillowy potato gnocchi with slow-cooked beef cheek ragù is a bona fide crowd-pleaser.

Come dinnertime, the after-work set can dive into scallops on sweet corn purée with a crisp coral tuile and spring onion oil, or twirl squid-ink spaghettini tossed with crab, calamari, cherry tomatoes, and a whisper of spicy ’nduja. If you’re chasing something hearty, the Wagyu rump cap arrives with portobello mushrooms and a glossy red wine jus.

Fresh picks abound, too: a classic Caprese with heirloom tomatoes and buffalo mozzarella, or a beetroot, spinach, and goat-cheese salad for a vibrant vegetarian moment. And to finish? Dolce, of course. Think espresso martini tiramisù, a vanilla-and-chocolate truffle with rum ganache, or a scoop (or two) of artisanal gelato.
