As soon as we went into the restaurant we were greeted and were allowed to sit where we wished to. Quick service. Big portions. Will definitely go again to try the desserts.

Excellent food and location...been there for brekkie before so thought we'd try the dinner menu. We had delicious Chicken parmigiana and Fish and Chips, maybe a little more dressing/tartare sauce on these is required ,as we needed to ask for ketchup half way through our meal. Overall a great experience and we will definitely return, especially for the amazing champagne brekkie.

We booked for 4 people on Friday night with first table. Food was very generous portion and it was very tasty as well. We had 2 shared entree and 4 mains. It was too much food we thought a main each should be just enough in the end..couldn't fit anymore desert which we want to come back and try next time ! we are very happy with the service, the staffs were attentive and food was served at reasonable time. Overall we had wonderful experience at Hangout on Preston. Will definately go back again !

My partner and I booked this last minute to celebrate our anniversary and we were pleasantly surprised by our dining experience. Food was great, seafood paella was super tasty and my boyfriend’s meat cravings were satisfied with their Charcoal steak burger. The warm chocolate brownie was superb. Would definitely come again.

The restaurant was empty when we arrived, but soon started to fill up. We ordered Lemon pepper calamari, the bruschetta & garlic bread for starters - they were all really tasty. My husband had the steak which was cooked exactly as he asked for it, rare & the kids and I all had fish & chips, which was snapper. It was so fresh & meaty. We all wanted to try dessert but we’re all too full. Will def have to go back to try them another time. Highly recommend this lovely restaurant

We were treated like royalty; nothing was too much trouble. The waitress was friendly, efficient and fun which suited the casual atmosphere of the cute venue. We certainly will look forward to going regularly! Thanks for adding to our special birthday celebration

Although it was raining heavily and we were seated at the Al Fresco area we stayed dry. Service was fantastic without being intrusive. This is despite the restaurant being quite busy.

The live entertainment added a nice vibe to the restaurant. In addition to the open fire the place was cosy and vibrant.

This was date night for my wife and I. We don’t get to go out too often nowadays so when we do it’s important that we have a nice experience.

Food wise, we orders the salt and pepper squid for entree, lamb shank and paella for mains and sticky date pudding and crepes for dessert. The food were all delicious. Standout were the squid and the lamb shank. Often lam shanks tend to be over braised but the lamb shank here was cooked to the perfect tenderness without being overly braised.

We enjoyed the night and the live singing.

Thank you for a nice hangout. We will be back.

The atmosphere was great, they had a live singer and the service was friendly and prompt. The pork belly was delicious as was the stuffed chicken breast (although the prosciutto on the outside was a little tough). Would definitely recommend

It was the waiter's first day and he did a great job. The other staff were very friendly and the seating next to the fireplace during a dark and cold night was perfect. The food was pretty good and well priced. We may have chosen a few too many 'heavy' and 'rich' shared dishes. Other people that were dining nearby did mention their meal was excellent. Overall a good experience that was worth it.

All 4 of us enjoyed our early evening meal at HangOut on 20 Preston this month. We shared 2 serves of excellent garlic bread to start, but 1 serve would have sufficed. Our mains of paella, chicken and barramundi were all good complete meals with no extra sides needing to be bought. Sadly, thanks to the garlic bread, we had no room for dessert. We will have to go again!
