The Fish Bar brings Benowa’s coastal bounty to the table with quiet confidence and a polished, elegant ease. In a serene dining room softened by cushions and warm smiles, it channels the Gold Coast’s shoreline into a poised, contemporary seafood experience. The mood is relaxed yet refined, designed for lingering conversations and an unhurried appreciation of ocean-fresh flavours.

The kitchen celebrates the classics while adding bright, modern touches. Oysters arrive glistening in familiar styles, while king prawn bruschetta is lifted with pesto, lemon pearls and a whisper of balsamic. There is comfort, too, in a creamy seafood chowder that feels handcrafted and generous, and playful bites like crispy prawn poppers with a lick of Eastern spice.

Mains showcase clean, confident cookery: a snapper fillet glossed with lemon butter that lets the fish sing, and crispy-skinned salmon paired with asparagus and roasted tomatoes for a seasonal, sunlit plate. Crisp salads provide a coastal counterpoint, whether Greek-leaning with feta and anchovies or a classic Caesar with bacon’s savoury crunch.

With friendly service and a breezy, welcoming pace, The Fish Bar suits date nights, family gatherings and indulgent solo interludes alike. Those in search of ocean-bright dining will find plenty to savour. Book a spot, raise a glass to the sea, and let the tide of good taste roll in.
