Alfonsino’s brings a little piece of Napoli to Darwin CBD, channelling traditions reaching back to the seventeenth century. In this ristorante italiano, every element is made by hand and from scratch, with a reverence for fine ingredients and time-honoured technique. The result is food with clarity and heart: simple, soulful, unmistakably Italian.

The wood-fired pizza napoletana sets the tone in true Neapolitan style. Handmade pastas follow suit, from spaghetti con polpette in bright tomato to ragù di agnello tangled with pappardelle. Antipasti might open with Prosciutto San Daniele D.O.P. alongside mozzarella and tomatoes, or a salumi board with homemade bread. For something heartier, consider tagliata di manzo, spaghetti allo scoglio rich with seafood, or the celebratory bistecca alla fiorentina. Simple pane pizza appears brushed with garlic and cheese, with caprese and cacio e pere combinations for good measure.

The mood is laid-back yet fervently passionate about craft, a dining room where the spirit of Naples lingers, and the chefs are serious about their art. It is a place for lingering meals and unhurried evenings, where conversation takes its cue from the kitchen’s confidence.

Find them in the heart of Darwin and let tradition lead the way. Make a date with handmade Italian cooking, and let Napoli steal your heart, one twirl at a time.
