Romanee Wine Bar brings a measured elegance to Braddon, inviting unhurried evenings where conversation sets the tempo and the kitchen speaks in confident, seasonal notes.

Starters open on earthy, sweet tones: hummus with sumac, Turkish bread and polenta, followed by tempura prawns paired with a lively kaffir lime chilli mayo. There is ample reason to linger and graze, from a cheese plate with crackers, preserves and fruit to a charcuterie board of cured meats and pickled vegetables.

Indulgence shines in the mains. Tajima wagyu beef pairs with garlic burnt butter and sweet potato, while duck breast is finished with blood orange jus and smooth carrot purée. To close, the trio of chocolate balances texture and tone with chardonnay salted honeycomb, raspberry, ganache truffle, Southern Highlands walnut and praline.
