Comuna Newstead brings a vibrant burst of Latin American energy to the heart of Newstead, where hacienda-inspired design meets a chic, sunlit setting. Created under the direction of Together Hospitality’s Tim Johnson, the expansive space moves seamlessly between indoors and out. It's a place that shifts easily from relaxed daytime visits to lively evening gatherings.

Starters set the tone with corn tortilla chips paired with house-made guacamole and corn ribs topped with ricotta, special seasoning and chipotle aioli. From there, crowd-pleasers like nachos, fajitas and quesadillas arrive generously loaded, with fillings ranging from chicken and pork to beef and mushrooms.

The offering continues with an extensive selection of tacos. Guests can tuck into birria tacos, chargrilled chicken or pulled pork, alongside signature creations like the baja fish with house-pickled cabbage and chilli crema. Desserts keep things simple with classic churros served with caramel sauce.
