Indian Mehfil

Indian Mehfil is one of Ipswich’s longest-standing and most popular restaurants – and for good reason. Established in 2010, it has become a beacon of culinary excellence, winning numerous accolades and earning a loyal following within the Ipswich community.

The menu is extensive and caters to all tastes. Popular starters include the mixed platter - a generous assortment of vegetarian and meat dishes, along with crowd favourites like tandoori chicken tikka and drumsticks. For mains, standouts include the rich and creamy Butter Chicken, the tender and flavoursome Goat Curry.

Vegetarians and vegans are well catered for, with dishes such as Palak or Karahi Paneer, and Baingan Bahar (eggplant and potato in a spicy tomato and onion sauce). Families are well looked after too, with three Indian-inspired children’s meals available, including mild curries and tandoori dishes served with papadums.

At the heart of Indian Mehfil’s philosophy is the ancient Indian phrase “atithi deva bhava” – meaning “the guest is God.” Their mission is to create memorable experiences for every patron through traditional cuisine, warm hospitality, and a welcoming atmosphere.
