Bella Julia is a stylish destination but doesn't have the arrogance to turn people away. It still remains approachable and friendly as after-work drinkers gather around the bar for pints and antipasti, couples enjoy each other's company in cosy corners and families reunite amidst raucous laughter and chatter. Outside, they've fashioned a patio that makes one feel like they're miles away from the city. Covered in grass even though it neighbours the streetside, Bella Julia's patio is like a summer vacation in the middle of the suburb.

As for the menu, there's plenty to keep your tastebuds entertained. Starting off with the pizza, you'll find housemade tomato sauce topping all their thin and crispy bases, only then to be covered with anything from pork and fennel sausage, chargrilled eggplant, four cheeses and smoked ham. Similar cheesy decadence can be found with the pasta dishes too which revel in black truffle, buffalo ricotta, cured pork cheek and beef ragu.

There are also meaty mains to choose from, but effort must be made to reserve some room for dolci. With the likes of vanilla panna cotta, organic gelato and tiramisu on the menu, life's sweet at Bella Julia.
