In Woodville South, Two Sisters Cafe serves up a spirited meeting of comfort and creativity. Here, Japanese-leaning flavours nudge familiar brunch favourites into new territory, with the kitchen leaning into texture, balance and a touch of whimsy. It’s the kind of place where a leisurely morning can segue into an unhurried afternoon, cup in hand and appetite piqued.

The charsu pork breakkie roll makes a persuasive case for indulgence, layering eight-hour braised pork belly and soft scrambled egg inside buttery brioche. Equally compelling is a spicy miso carbonara that swaps spaghetti for udon, its glossy sauce wrapped around pancetta and crowned with an onsen egg. The result’s deeply savoury, softly smoky and unabashedly satisfying.

Snacks and sides keep things playful - think furikake fries with a lick of spicy mayo, or agedashi tofu served with concentrated dashi and bonito flakes. Those with a sweet streak will find solace in the shokupan lava toast, where honey butter toast meets matcha mascarpone cream, azuki red bean and a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Drinks are as considered as the food, from Single O espressos and macchiatos to specialty matcha-cano, hojicha-cano or black sesame lattes.

Whether plotting a quiet morning chat or a catch-up with friends, Two Sisters Cafe offers flavou and warmth. Drop by, follow your cravings, and let brunch have its moment in the sun.
