In Walkerville, Sussex Hotel wears its history with easy grace. It’s housed in a historic Art Deco building, pairing heritage bones with Moroccan‑vintage flourishes to striking effect.

Step inside and sunlight spills across gleaming surfaces, colours are warm and inviting, and the mood’s one of understated sophistication tempered by genuine welcome.

On the plate, Sussex looks close to home and far afield at once. The kitchen champions local flavours while weaving in global culinary influences from crackling porchetta with Dutch carrots to panko-crumbed wagyu beef schnitzel. Unrefined and unpretentious, it's cooking made for conversation.

Across the venue, spaces unfold to suit every kind of gathering: a family‑friendly dining room, a dog‑friendly garden, a large sports lounge, and a showpiece courtyard with a two‑way fireplace and bi‑fold doors that blur indoors and out.

Cosy corners and parlour nooks invite another bite, another plate, another story. Make a date with this Walkerville local - swing by, settle in, and let Sussex work its quiet charm!
