At Berowra Waters Marina on Sydney’s North Shore, Griddle Restaurant brings a relaxed, Modern Australian sensibility to the table.

The interior's set for lingering: soft, comfortable and unhurried - the kind of room where a refreshing drink pairs as naturally with conversation as it does with a perfectly seared steak. Dishes are meticulously prepared, desserts are worth saving room for, and the welcome's easy-going.

From the grill come the heroes: grain-fed and wagyu rump cooked to order, all about deep, flame-kissed flavour. Pork ribs arrive char-grilled and basted in BBQ sauce, with golden chips for good measure.

Among the signatures, Chicken Surf crowns a grilled breast with prawns and béarnaise, while a slow-braised lamb shank yields to the fork, surrounded by mash and a glossy, rich gravy.

There's comfort in the classics, too, from a velvety pumpkin soup with sour cream and warm bread to lightly spiced chicken wings with a cooling mayonnaise.

Pasta takes a coastal turn with seafood linguini in a bright Napolitana, or offers indulgence with carbonara folded through linguini, chicken, mushroom and bacon in a silky sauce.

Whether it's a long lunch or an easy dinner, Griddle Restaurant invites guests to unwind by the marina and savour the moment.
