Our 2nd time to dine at Coya and we were not disappointed. Food and service was excellent and consistent. Do yourself a favour and go!

We had the best experience at Coya. Table was a 5.30pm booking and we were still there at 10pm! As we were a table of 3 we ordered different entrees, mains and actually ordered 4 desserts and we sampled each other’s, each dish was incredible. We will definitely be going back for more. Oh and the Turkish Delight martini was yummy! The dishes may not be the biggest of portions but when you’re getting such excellent quality of food I don’t feel that it matters.

Excellent food and presentation.
Friendly and efficient service as always.
This was my third visit to Coya, and I will certainly visit again.
Coya also regularly offers a variation of degustation menus which are very reasonably priced - not included in the First Table offers, but worth exploring.

Coya Restaurant is a hidden gem.
Every dish we ordered was aromatic and cooked to perfection.
All 4 of us enjoyed a whole table of super delicious, including well thought out vegetarian options.
They also have a vegan / gluten free degustation event coming up.
Great service, nice atmosphere.
We will be back soon.

Dining at Coya to celebrate our 26th Wedding Anniversary was fabulous!! There was not one thing to fault. The flavours and presentation were art and passion on a plate. Well done for stepping into your dream- We’ll definitely be back.

This is amazing food, so unique for the area. Coya is a hidden gem of the beaches. Head chef is very creative and takes your taste buds on an adventure. Head waitress explains the food when it’s served, which is excellent to prepare you for what you think and taste! Coya working through finding a competent English speaking waitress to complement the rest of the excellent aspects of the restaurant. Been twice, will definitely be making it a constant for evenings out. Thanks guys, see you soon.

This is the second time we have eaten at Coya - this time it was to celebrate a birthday and the food was even better than the last time (and last time was exceptional) and the great friendly service made the night memorable - thank you

The best dining experience I have had. I was blown away by the presentation and flavours. Could not fault any meal we had. Non pretentious decor makes you feel relaxed and comfortable. Would highly recommend to all friends and family.

Loved it! The food was delicious and the atmosphere was relaxed and informal - a pleasant surprise given how fancy the food sounds on the menu. In fact the simple and unpretentious decor lets the food speak for itself and the elegantly-plated dishes tasted as good as they looked, with a modern take on middle eastern spices packing in plenty of flavour. Would definitely go back!

Heaven on a plate... or should I say many plates?! What a gem, from the minute we walked into Coya we knew we were going to enjoy our dinner. The fabulous chef Ash and his lovely wife Kate and staff made us feel like we were old friends - what a gastronomical experience and a treat for our palates, every dish was so beautifully presented and the produce ethically sourced. We chatted to Ash and Kate and they are so passionate about what they do and happy to share their food knowledge with us. Needless to say we will be coming back to try the rest of the menu. 10 out of 10. Thanks Coya for a delicious dinner experience.

There was nothing to complain about with my experience. Simply that it didn't live up to my expectations in either taste or presentation given the images etc from the website. The venue too was quite cold both in temperature and by lacking in ambience. To be fair, I am a harsh critic with food and interiors so it will still satisfy many/most, particularly at half price. I would find it hard to justify at full price.

Our first time using first table, what a wonderful delicious meal at Coya! Even our 13 year old son tried dishes he wouldn’t usually and every plate was scraped clean. We will return and bring our friends as well!

Food

Unfortunately our dining experience was not as good as expected. After hearing and reading about great reviews we were expecting the same. But our comments reflect the same as a few other First Table diners. The serves are too small and therefore end up costing too much, even taking into consideration the 50% saving. Our friend ordered the barramundi for his main, which came out the size of an entrée at best. As he was still fairly hungry after completing this in 5 minutes he ordered sides - 1 dish was glazed carrots and 1 dish was boiled potatoes. The most boring looking and tasting sides ever ordered, and at a price of $12 each we thought that was very steep. I remember the waitress saying that the fish did come with vegetables...but that was simply a slight smudge of cauliflower paste below the fish. Even the duck and black rice main left us looking for more in the size of the portion and the taste. I could hardly taste or see the duck. Dessert was quite nice. But the bill was too expensive for the 4 of us even though we received 50% off food. A shame as somewhere like Cromer can do with a great restaurant. We will not be going back.

A true gastronomic experience. Presentation was excellent and an amazing variety of taste sensations. We shared entrees to maximise our experience and fortunately we all ordered a different main course so we’re able to appreciate all the flavours on offer. We were delighted with our choices. The vegan dessert, chickpea pavlova, interested all of us and we were not disappointed! An interesting and flavoursome take on pavlova and rhubarb. Delicious!
To complement the culinary treats we experienced exceptional service and great insights from the chef on his menu selection. Highly recommended!

Coya is in an unpretentious suburban shopping strip and even inside it is plain. But the food is imaginative combining Middle Eastern and French flavours.
Beautiful favours, well presented. Food you would never cook at home.

Delicious food, outstanding presentation and flavour. If taking your children and they want the sausage on the kids menu, call ahead and advise the restaurant. They are made to order so my son had to settle for chicken. Would go back to try more food on the menu and for my son to try the homemade sausage.

From the moment we walked in and smelt the tantalising aromas we knew we were in for an exceptional experience. The food was amazing! so many dishes to tempt me, it was difficult to make a decision. The waitress was happy to assist with my indecision and i thoroughly enjoyed the barramundi with green harissa and cauliflower puree. All dishes chosen by my group were exquisitely plated and delicious. Desserts were a must. A fantastic dining experience.

While the food was lovely the portion size was not - such a VERY small piece of fish, 50% off cost should not equal 50% off size. We were put in the back of an airless restaurant with several other couples, would never repeat this experience.

This is a restaurant, I wouldn’t normally go to! First it’s in Cromer and we live in Manly plus it’s amongst a strip of shops. How wrong were we and how glad we are that we went. As we live in Manly surrounded by restaurants so decided to go here for a change. The food was spectacular, full of flavour, hint of spice and beautifully presented. We enjoyed all 3 courses and will most certainly be back bringing friends.

Very disappointed. Went with my 8-year old but was quite rudely told by the Chef/Owner that we should have informed them a child was coming as it is a “Fine-dining” restaurant and they need prior warning. They should state this on the children’s menu if that is the case. This didn’t leave many options for a young diner who doesn’t like spice. The food was flavoursome but overpriced for the small portion size. We were still hungry but opted to have an ice cream at home because we just wanted to leave. Won’t be returning.

Gastronomy at its best, and it's local. This was our second time to Coya and it didn’t disappoint. We plan to make our way through their menu. All three courses were amazing but the highlight was the Arabic bread and butter pudding with pistachio sauce, an 11 out of 10.
