Nestled in the heart of The Rocks, The Fox Hole is a destination diners return to repeatedly. This local favourite is warm and full of character, moving seamlessly from laid-back lunches to lively evening gatherings.

Lunch starts with comforting, crispy potato bites paired with truffle aioli or classic scotch eggs with sriracha mayo. Substantial options include a pork baguette with spiced apple chutney or a wholesome pumpkin and lentil bowl topped with goat's cheese. House pies remain a crowd favourite, filled with beef, chicken, or chickpea to provide the hearty satisfaction of a British-inspired kitchen.

The menu shifts toward generous share plates and rich flavours as evening settles in. Warm bread topped with prosciutto and pear chutney makes an easy start. Larger dishes follow, such as duck breast with fennel marmalade or slow-roasted pork ribeye. A brown butter blondie provides the perfect amount of sweetness to conclude the meal.

The Fox Hole delivers a dining experience that feels both effortless and memorable for a relaxed lunch or a long evening gathering. You'll find it an easy recommendation when looking to settle in and enjoy good food in one of Sydney’s most historic corners.
