On the ground floor of The Porter House Hotel in Sydney’s bustling CBD, The Porter Room fills the space with a heritage-rich hush and contemporary poise. Framed by the building’s storied bones, it’s a sophisticated, inviting setting for lunch and dinner where old-world character meets modern polish.

The kitchen’s approach is quietly confident and considered, favouring clean, modern lines while honouring tradition - an elegant introduction to Sydney that feels both timely and timeless. Rich small plates come to the fore, such as the beef tartare served with potato gaufrettes and chives. Mains come into focus, shaped by the hotel’s ethos of blending historical charm with culinary innovation. Dig into the 350g dry-aged, bone-in Riverine Premium MB 3+ sirloin steak, or a classic wagyu bolognaise finished with parmesan.

With its central address, The Porter Room suits crisp business lunches as well as intimate dinners with a charming ambience. Let curiosity lead the way, pull up a chair and experience elegant dining like no other!
