dinner

An intrepid culinary adventure that takes you down the winding banks of the Mekong River and through Vietnam's most exciting provinces, this eatery is a must-do for curious diners. Where beautiful entrees, shared mains and rich desserts combine in perfect harmony, allow Chef Tiw Rakarin to take you into the heart of his culinary imagination.

Suave, sophisticated and modern with a seductive air of mystery, Mekong always knows to keep diners guessing. An expansive dining hall is paved with gloss, dark furnishings, showstopping light fixtures and a tropical-inspired bar. Always keen to delight and surprise, the low lighting is complemented by a forest of bamboo that shades the enormous windows from peeping eyes. A world in its own, Mekong is for anyone looking to leave the outside world on the outside and join other foodies on Vietnam's iconic waterways.

Gently ease yourself into the evening with some beautifully constructed entrees, which include roast duck pancakes, spiced chicken satay and the Mekong share plate which comes brimming with grilled scallops, Burmese vegetable samosas and crispy chicken wings.

The mains bring authentic food to life with an eye for local delicacies. From fried whole snapper to spicy softshell crab, stir fried pork belly and steamed barramundi, you'll find some of Australia's landmark ingredients transformed into something magical and Vietnamese. And the surprises don't stop there. With dessert selections changed daily, simply ask the friendly staff what the Mekong is offering up that day.

Go on. Surprise yourself.
