The Bar is the jewel in Duxton Hotel's crown. Overlooking St. Georges Terrace, it has everything you could want for a chilled hangout.

It's the epitome of comfort. Bag yourself a cushioned armchair and recline with a refreshing tipple before ordering some food. It's wonderfully spacious and has plenty of natural light. If you're looking for a quick retreat from reality, this is the place.

The menu caters for those seeking a light bite or those wanting a hearty main. Try a bit of everything with their small plates like the mushroom and truffle arancini with Turkish bread or Spanish chorizo with some fresh oysters. If you're really ravenous, order their juicy wagyu burger or club sandwich that's stuffed with meaty goodness.

And with a fabulous bar at your disposal, get fancy with a cocktail or two! Alternatively, take some time to peruse their extensive wine menu or range of Ozzie beers.

Reviews

We arrived at 3:30pm and The Bar was closed - Opens at 4pm. They did let us in but unsure why First Table says 3:30 pm. The Rugby World Cup game was on the TV so a bit loud!! Food and drinks were very good..

Food was lovely but was a little slow coming out, however staff were very apologetic. Nice atmosphere and relaxing venue for a light bite and drinks

An early dining experience at 3.30pm & it was generally enjoyable. Service was a tad disappointing as they only had 1 poor waitress at the helm when we arrived servicing about 3-4 other tables...she was lovely & polite. Food was generous & we enjoyed what we ordered. The Bar got busier as the hours went by & the staff number was increased from 1 to 3 for the almost full bar.
