Meaning ‘Sip and Bite’, this charming cafe and bar/restaurant offers a wonderful mixture of traditional and modern Italian fare. Serving breakfast, lunch, aperitivo and dinner, enjoy a trip back to Italy in St Kilda.

Inspired by the flavours of Sicily (also known as God’s Kitchen), I Carusi II - Sorsi e Morsi uses recipes from their own cooking book, as well as several of Nonna’s back in Italy!

Having started in 2004 as a pizzeria, I Carusi II - Sorsi e Morsi specialises in traditional, 48h dough pizzas, as well as fresh pasta, antipasti and sharing boards. Be sure to try a signature dish, like the handmade gnocchi al ragu, or the Alla Moda di Mario pizza, with fior di latte, pancetta, red onion, and a hint of parmigiano, a favourite amongst their Italian fan-base.

Sit under the tree on the outside terrace, sip on an Italian wine or negroni, and let yourself be transported to the other side of the world at I Carusi II - Sorsi e Morsi.

Lovely birthday dinner with kids - food was gorgeous as always and staff very accommodating of the kids needs. A few other families so I’m guessing 5pm time slot is popular with kids.

Our first table experience at I Carusi II was so easy and enjoyable! When we arrived the staff knew exactly of the booking offer, seated us by the window with a great outlook and explained the menu thoroughly. We took full advantage of the first table offer and ordered a green side salad to accompany a pumpkin and goats cheese pizza and a Napoli handmade gnocchi dish. The salad portion was generous and well dressed, the pizza topped with fresh ingredients while the gnocchi was soft and rich in flavour. We were absolutely filled to the brim with Italian deliciousness at the end of the evening. Thank you to first table for suggesting such an amazing Melbourne restaurant in beautiful St Kilda.

It was our second time at this restaurant, and everything was great! We've ordered entrees, mains and desserts, and everything was really good. The handmade gnocchi dishes were fantastic. Great atmosphere, music and service. We will definitely be back for the pizzas, there are too many good choices on the menu to be tried. Thanks First Table for introducing us to such a nice restaurant.

We booked a table for 3 and the staff was very friendly in accomodating us in a large table so we could sit comfortably with the baby. We ate pizza which was very well cooked. The dough was crispy and tasty, and the topping was excellent quality. I can highly recommend this restaurant.

Love this place - especially sitting outside when the weather is nice! Four of us had garlic & rosemary bread, lasagne, pizza & a couple of drinks each. Service is friendly & place is very relaxed. We went on a Wednesday and so selected martinis are $10 & it is also happy hour from 4:30-6:30 on house beer & wine. With first table it was $105 for the four of us so great value - can't wait to go back

Had a great meal with family. Would recommend the lasagne, and the pizza was delicious. The fennel salad was a nice side that I chose to acompany my meal.
The tiramisu was a great finish to a lovely evening.

Food was authentic and tasty. Staff were patient with my 1year old and the time of dining ideal as it wasn’t busy. Would return to try other dishes.
