If you've been to Burleigh Heads, then you'll know of Suzy. The culinary legend who brought the vibrancy and excitement of Seoul to Australia's east coast, we have a lot to thank her for!
And she's really made herself at home in true Seoul style. Suzy Korean BBQ is thinking outside the box and creating new trends along the way, housing their friendly project in a shipping container lined with Korean posters and funky pop culture. When you walk in, you'll realise that it only gets funkier from there. An indigo saloon awaits, coaxing out the inner 90s disco addict in all of us with multicoloured neon lights whilst the informal seating makes it all the more relaxed and groovy. If there's anything Seoul does really well, it's colour mixed with plenty of attitude.
So, we know that Suzy can whip up a mouthwatering dish, but what exactly does she have in store? She's bringing all the communal joy of the Korean BBQ with beef short ribs, bulgogi, pork belly, wagyu beef brisket and veggies that you can throw on the grill for a supper worth remembering. It's the ultimate treat if you're coming as a group or even as a couple. Just know there won't be any shortage of smoky meats, crazy sauces and ingredients you've never tried before.
If you don't fancy DIY, opt instead for a dish that's already prepared for you. We're talking bulgogi bao buns, kimchi pancakes, the sizzling bibimbap and, of course, Korea's legendary fried chicken. And now that you're here, you might as well wash it down with a Korean beer before getting seduced by the party lights for a little boogie. Suzy was always a party girl at heart...
