dinner

In Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast, Masu Izakaya offers a contemporary take on Japan’s beloved izakaya culture. With a sushi bar at its heart, the kitchen works with a mix of local and Japanese ingredients, applying precise techniques and refined presentation. The food is made for sharing, from glistening raw cuts to crisp tempura, served in a setting tuned to lively conversation.

The menu moves with the easy rhythm of an evening out: begin with oysters brightened by ponzu and granita, then drift into sushi rolls like the Burleigh Hill Roll or the spicy tuna roll.

Signature plates deepen the umami, whether it's savoury Wagyu gyoza, melt-in-your-mouth pork belly bites, crunchy karaage with chilli aioli, or tempura bay bugs with amazu sauce.

The mood is social and a natural fit for an intimate dinner with close friends as dishes arrive at the table. Gather your crew, follow your appetites, and let the good times roll!
