Try and resist the temptation to belt out Eddy Grant's smash hit whenever you read the name of this restaurant. But if we can just make a one-time exception, you really should rock down to Electric Avenue.

A magnet for antique lovers, vintage addicts and anyone seeking a smooth, intimate vibe, Electric Avenue finds its roots in decades gone by with its member's club vibe complete with glossy leather seating, quaint bistro furniture and memorabilia every which way you turn. Warm woods prevail in this establishment, forming the walls, bar and ceiling in what makes for a farmhouse kind of feeling that is complimented by stag heads and a forest's worth of potted plants. Put simply, Electric Avenue merges country and inner-city glamour to brilliant effect.

The menu is bold whilst also serving up the familiar comfort eats that we all love. They're making sharing fashionable again with international delights like eggplant katsu, kaarage cauliflower, mushroom arancini and BBQ pork bao buns. It certainly looks like the world and its dog has come to dinner!

Individual mains include a great selection of juicy burgers, as well as beer-braised pork belly with spiced apple sauerkraut, lemongrass chicken and an almighty sirloin from Cape Grime. Finally, you can always count on Electric Avenue to mix you a mean Old Fashioned or Cosmopolitan. Yet another reason why you should rock down to... ok we'll stop now!
