Harajuku Gyoza Southbank brings a slice of Tokyo zest to South Brisbane, where wood panelling and kitsch touches set a bright, upbeat scene. It hums with the spirit of a lively izakaya: chatter rising, chopsticks tapping, and the happy sizzle of plates landing at the table with theatrical flourish.

Famous for its gyoza, the kitchen leans into clean, bold flavours and textural contrast. Think crisply seared parcels with tender centres, from Classic Pork Gyoza lifted by black vinegar dipping sauce to Prawn Gyoza brightened with ginger and spring onion dressing. The izakaya rhythm continues with share plates built for convivial grazing.

Slow-cooked Lamb Ribs glazed in black vinegar caramel with shallot and chilli hit that sweet-savoury note, while Popcorn Pork Belly brings crunch, chilli caramel sauce and pickled slaw. For heartier moments, bowls offer comfort in minimalist form: a Chicken Teriyaki Bowl with edamame over steamed rice, or Beef Gyudon in a savoury-sweet sauce that is all warmth and wafting steam.

With bottomless cocktails and Japanese craft beer fuelling the fun, even dessert arrives with a show: Sizzling Vanilla Japanese French Toast and its matcha counterpart make a finale that crackles. Gather your crew, follow the sizzle, and let the good times gyoza.
