There's a reason the Grand View Hotel has been awarded that name. Overlooking Moreton Bay, you couldn't get a better spot to soak in gorgeous Brissy.

It's been a cornerstone of Brisbane's culture for over 150 years and it has no intention of stopping. What's more, it's the home of Queensland's favourite beer garden (no mean feat!) and a smart dining room that's out to impress.

And their food follows suit. The menu has some of the best and freshest seafood in town. Across the water from Tassie are the Tasmanian oysters, king prawns from Hervey Bay and a divine salt and pepper squid. Alternatively, indulge in mushroom arancini and crispy chicken wings!

Move on to some pub classics that never get old. Keep up the seafood theme with grilled barramundi, king prawn spaghetti and seared Tasmanian salmon. Or why not go for a steak or some spare ribs that'll have you licking your chops for ages after. And with a kids menu too, The Grand View is whatever you make of it and is a guaranteed grand night out.

The food far exceeded our expectations! Entree of hummus and pita bread was fantastic, mains were a good size and well priced. Great chicken parmigiana!
Highly recommend this restaurant.

Good, down to earth, real decent food with good service and nice staff. We had a nice table with a view of the bay, and the whole family enjoyed the value. We all left satisfied and said if we were ever in this neck of the woods again, we would love to visit again. We enjoyed our dinner at the Grand View.

I've lived in the Redlands for 8 years and had never visited the Grand View until it appeared on First Table. We booked for Friday evening at 5:30 which (apart from some merry rebelers enjoying Christmas drinks) was pretty quiet overall and easy to talk. Excellent meals were enjoyed by the three of us, with dishes including cheesy garlic bread, salt & pepper squid (delicious), mussels (tiny but tasty), beautiful baramundi, and indulgent chocolate Dianne! All topped off with an NZ Sauvignon Blanc. We all look forward to our next visit.

A tad disappointing. The staff could not work out how to discount the first table meal which took about half an hour. You pay up front. The main prawn pasta only had 4 prawns. My pork belly wasn’t tender and the cracking in edible due to way too salty. The seafood platter cold was good but the cooked portion questionable. Don’t believe it was fresh fish rather pre frozen fillets of who knows what fish. A medium rare steak cane medium to well done.
Good points. Beautiful large yummy oysters. Tasty but uninspiring garlic prawns entree. Rump steaks were good.
Overall pub style food which didn’t rate compared to other similar places.
Best part was the gorgeous relaxed setting and staff were very nice.
Been previously and loved this place. Chef must have changed.
