Roaring Grill

Roaring Grill, located in North Hobart, offers a dining experience focused on showcasing the best of local Tasmanian produce. To dine is to enjoy a memorable affair doused in Tasmanian romance, from an illustrious dining room with open fireplaces and refined interiors. Whether you are looking to gather for birthdays, engagements, work functions or more, The Roaring Grill can accommodate up to 80 guests seated & up to 100 more for a stand-up event. The breathtaking surroundings of this one-time stable also make it a choice destination for beautiful weddings, with ceremonies held in Hobart city gardens finished off with a close-by reception.

When it comes to food, from the grill comes Cape Grim Porterhouse, savoury Roaring Eye fillet and the option of The Roaring Steak Sandwich. All main meals (from the grill) come served with chips, or on the side are sweet potato chips, and fennel home-made slaw. The Roaring Grill is also open for lunch, like Roasted Pea & Mint Salad; a Non-Fried Zucchini Noodle Pasta; Coles Bay Barbequed Octopus on a warm sweet potato & chorizo salad & Fish Tangine. “Our focus is purely on produce”, said the Chef, “That’s all we’re going to do. We’re not trying to be Italian or French or anything like that. We’ll leave that to other people.” Open only in the evening, doors are open from 6 pm on Tuesday to Sunday for provisions.
