Charbel's

An exciting new addition to Avalon's dining scene, Charbel's is waving the flag for local produce and jolly get-togethers which bring the community closer together.

Open for breakfast, and lunch, you have plenty of opportunities to see what Charbel's is up to. And once you've been there, you'll vow to go back for their live music sessions in the warm and welcoming dining room or join other hungry munchers on the streetside where the music drifts lazily out for all to hear. A spot where there's always something exciting happening, Charbel's is a Pandora's box of lovely surprises.

As for the food, it's just as colourful as Charbel's personality. Thanks to the plethora of fresh ingredients, each and every plate is stacked with daily fruits and vegetables, which is a great vibe for breakfast. During the early-ish hours, you'll find enormous brekky rolls that take all the usual ingredients and upgrade them with pesto aioli and fresh greens, teriyaki mushrooms on sourdough with creamy avocado, and potato rosti with lashings of tomato relish.

As for lunch, you have a pleasing selection of light bites full of optimistic flavours. Take the grilled halloumi salad which is bursting with roast capsicum and grilled zucchini, the steak sandwich accompanied by red wine mushrooms, and the chicken wrap full with free-range chicken, salad and hummus. Dinner is where seriously comforting plates come out with a veal parmigiana. marinated chicken tenderloin and cauliflower steak.
