Celebrate seasonal produce prepared with care at Café Patina, a Wahroonga restaurant that’s well worth a visit.

There’s nothing casual about the quality of food served here. Chef Stewart Wallace had a long and illustrious career before opening Café Patina in his childhood suburb of Wahroonga.

This restaurant has a focus on seasonal food, with the menu changing to reflect the produce available. Signature dishes are also on offer, including the café’s famous snapper pie and salt and pepper squid with garlic, coriander, lime and house-made chilli jam. Vegetarian options are available.

You can complement your meal with a quality boutique wine from the restaurant’s menu.

This is a fabulous venue to visit with family or friends. Visit the restaurant voted Sydney’s Café of the Year in 2018 and see for yourself why it’s a place to visit again and again.

Hidden local gem. Easy walk from station and street parking adjacent to restaurant. Offer indoor and outdoor seating. Nice vista overlooking park in summer.
Beautifully decorated, spotless. Staff pleasant , knowledgable and helpful with menu items. Attentive but not intrusive. Food arrived quickly and staff offered to delay courses if needed.Sufficient variety on menu to make everyone happy. We ordered starter of sourdough bread with za'artar and olive oil, Delicious! Mains were lamb rump (very tender and tastey),and pork belly which was a bit thin contributing to some dryness but nevertheless it was tastey with a superb apple sauce. Side to share were the smoothest, best seasoned potatoes mash I have ever tasted, and crispy steamed greens which were just perfectly cooked. Very enjoyable. Dessert however was the absolute stand out. Apple and rhubarb crumble with custard and ice cream which my husband is still raving about, (Thought he'd gone to heaven. ) and chocolate steamed pudding with hazelnut sauce and ice cream, the best food on a cold night. Finished off with hot coffee. Will definitely return. Cant wait to try the rest of the menu.

We had a lovely dinner at Café Patina! The food is fresh, delicious, creative and the servings are generous. With friendly and thoughtful service in a cosy setting, we look forward to coming back. The range of gluten-free items is a big plus.

We thoroughly enjoyed our crispy skinned roast Barramundi. Very fresh and cooked perfectly. Neither underdone or over cooked.

Such great service and went above and beyond to let us have little tasters of the wine before ordering a bottle. Intimate setting, delicious food that is comforting yet with modern new flavours!
