If you're finding their name somewhat perplexing, allow us to enlighten you. Enoteca means wine library whilst the number 128 adds a deeper element of mystery...

Take 1, 2 and 8, add them up and you reach the street number. On a deeper level, the number refers to the founder's ambition to open the doors of Enoteca 128 with a minimum stock of 128 wines ( currently around 300 wines listed ), making this one of the hottest wine destinations in Sydney. Founder Trezzi has sculpted a Mediterranean vacation within his restaurant. Enoteca 128 is an elegant representation of Italy best local kept secret. And the world-class wines make it more authentic still.

The degustation menu begins with some premium Sydney rock oyster with apple and smoked caviar, paired with Australian Ocean Trout rillette on poppy seed lavosch. The most distinguished of mini tasters, Enoteca is enticing and delighting on every level. Next, indulge in a zucchini flower filled with three cheese, yellow capsicum, garlic and parsley dressing, followed by house-made squid-ink spaghetti with blue swimmer crab, chilli and light Napoletana. A roasted duck breast impresses next with parsnip puree, apple, oniion and mustard sauce before the final triumph a cheesecake served with house made citrus compote and white chocolate crumble.

Every dish comes with a recommended wine pairing, should you wish, making your life easier and solidifying Enoteca 128's standing at the top of Sydney's most revered restaurants. What are you waiting for?
